Are pre-need policies transferable?
Money in a Dakota Capital pre-need policy can be assigned to the funeral provider of your choice. If your situation changes and you decide to change funeral providers, you are free to do so.
Does my pre-need policy grow over time?
Once your money has been set aside in a pre-need policy, it will grow to help offset the increasing cost of funerals.
Are payment plans available?
Yes, we offer payment plans for 3, 5, or 10 years. Our goal is to give you peace of mind within your budget.
Do I need to take a medical exam?
No, you won’t be required to undergo a medical exam.
Are there health questions?
Yes, but answers to these questions only affect the benefit amount within the first 30 months of a multi-premium policy.
Will my premiums increase?
Once your application has been accepted, policy premiums will not increase as long as you pay your premiums on time.
What if I’m going on Medicaid?
When irrevocably assigned to the funeral home of your choice, your funds will be protected if you need to apply for state assistance (subject to state law).
Can my policy be denied?
No, your policy will be issued as long as you pay your premiums, no matter what health condition(s) you have.
